SUNDAY SCHOOL
At Spirit of Joy, we believe that children are the future. That is why we make it a priority to support our parents in training their children up in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6). During our 11:00 a.m. Sunday worship, we offer Sunday School for PreK-8th grade students.
Because we understand that all children are unique, we customize our curriculum to meet our student’s learning needs. Is your child passionate about science, video games, art? We love when we get the opportunity to incorporate their God-given interests into one of our Bible lessons!
Nursery Room
Our nursery features a contemporary design offering a fun, bright atmosphere to learn and play. It comes equipped with a flatscreen television, Christian cartoon videos, toys, and a changing area (a changing station is also available in the women’s restroom). So, whether you’ve come for worship, Bible study, or special event; you can rest assured that your children are provided for!

Level 1 & 2
Our Level 1 students are the youngest amongst us, learning about Jesus for the first time and building those crucial first foundational blocks (Matthew 7:24-25). They are taught through music, story time, crafts, and games.
Level 2 is for our early elementary students who are transitioning into reading and writing. They are guided through the fundamentals of looking up books, chapters, and verses in the Bible. Practice makes perfect!
Level 3
Level 3 is where our late elementary students begin to really deepen their faith and knowledge of the Bible. We heavily encourage them to develop a Christian lifestyle through Bible reading, gratitude journals, daily prayers, and enjoyment of Christian materials (books, music, and movies). We even give them a subscription to the Focus on the Family Clubhouse magazine.

Level 4
In Level 4, we teach our teenage students the necessary skills, knowledge, and wisdom that they will need to thrive in their later years. In this final level, we plunge deeper into faith discussions, apologetics, and societal preparedness. The road may be narrow, but it the path we eagerly seek (Matthew 7:13-14).
Teaching About Generosity
Early on, our country’s children learn the wonder of receiving a gift and our Christian children are told of the ultimate gift of Jesus Christ. However, Jesus Himself did not come to be served, but to serve (Mark 10:45).
One way that we teach our students the joy of giving is through Operation Christmas Child. Throughout the year, our kids have opportunities to earn “Bible Bucks” to shop for items in our OCC Store. These items are packed into shoeboxes that are then sent to children around the world, along with the message of Jesus Christ.
